There are those who would say that you are where you are because that is where you chose to be. We have a slightly different twist on that. We intend to show that, for the most part, we are where we are because either we chose it, or because we allowed it by not choosing something else.
Everything – including you – is always producing some result, even when standing still (standing still IS a result). Everything happens for a reason because everything that happens, is an effect following some cause. Change the cause and you change the effect.
Put another way, your thoughts and actions are the cause that produces the effect you might call results. Change your thoughts and actions and you change your results. When you change your results, you change what’s possible. If you can change what’s possible, then it would seem that what makes something possible – or impossible – is You.
Circumstance
Circumstance happens; it’s a factor in all our lives – where and when you were born, your family, your abilities, your disabilities… with so much going on it’s easy to forget that there is another factor in the unfolding of your life: You.
Part of exploring new possibility is exploring our role in our results. Is it circumstance, or what we do within circumstance, that defines the limits of what’s possible for each of us?
Results are inevitable
You cannot follow the steps of putting a pot of water on a properly working stove and turning the heat to full beneath it without producing the inevitable result of boiling water. Skip any of these steps – or follow completely different steps, like putting bread in a toaster – and you will not get boiling water. It’s you who takes the steps to make boiling water – or no boiling water – inevitable by what you do or don’t do.
Where else in your life have you played a role in your results with the steps you took – or didn’t take.
